Capt Carl reports a lot of action on the Fivestar charter this morning. We started jigging up Bluefish and had 1 keeper Bass. After that we switched to Fluke where we had a lot of action with keepers up to 8 lbs. We also had a bunch of SeaBass that were returned unharmed! The crew thanks the great group of guys onboard!!

Mon May 20 - 2 Day Georges Bank Cod/Haddock/Pollock
2 Day Georges Bank Cod/Haddock/Pollock
5/17/19-5/19/19
Capt Steven Jr reports that we got down to George's this weekend and honestly it was a really tough grind. Day one the open bottom was dead and it wasn’t until early afternoon before we found a couple Cod and some Haddock on the wrecks. The second day we went strictly wreck fishing and had better action and found a handful of Cod and jumbo Cunners on all the wrecks but not any great numbers. The weather was beautiful but the full moon tide made fishing the wrecks tough. Hopefully some bait and life moves into the open bottom areas and things improve.
Due to the weather this weeks Tile/Cod trip has been canceled but the weekend weather is looking good and we have openings for inshore charters. So grab some buddies and come enjoy the holiday weekend on the water.
Give us a call at the office for openings and trip info (631)668-5700.

Thurs Dec 20 - Special Coxes Cod/Black Sea Bass
Capt Steven Jr
reports that this was our last trip until after Christmas and we managed
to put a day together. We had a pick of Haddock first thing in the
morning and we drilled it out and ended up with between 50-60 out of it.
From there we went looking around hopping spots and didn’t find much
till the end of the day where we found a couple Seabass and Cod. We
currently don’t have anymore open boat trips on the schedule but within
the next few days we will have some Cod/Haddock trips up for January!!

Sat Dec 15 - Wreck Trip Charter
Capt Steven Jr reports that we
had Rick Harrison and the guys for a wreck trip and we had to work for
it but we put a day together. We ended up with a nice pile of jumbo
Seabass, Ling and Cod with a couple of haddock as well. It looks like
the weather will be keeping us at the dock for the next couple of days.
As of now we are looking to get back out on Wednesday the 19th!

Fri Dec 14 - Block Island Cod & Sea Bass
Capt Steven Sr reports fantastic fishing today on the Viking Fivestar. Today's plan was to seek revenge after not being able to properly fish the targeted spot on Wednesday's Offshore Cod/SeaBass trip. Once we got there fishing was good - good. We limited out early on SeaBass, so we hit some other areas where we found a handful of Cod, lots and lots of Ling, some Haddock and Bergalls.

Tue Dec 11 - Haddock/Cod/Scup
Capt Steven Jr reports that since our last trip out to the wrecks did not produce, we changed this trip up and went looking for Haddock. It started off slow but we were able to build up a decent pick for a while and put a nice shot of Haddock together. We also had big Scup and Cunners in the mix. High hook had 7 Haddock and most other guys had 3-5 each. At the end of the day we checked out a different area and found a few green Cod that looked to be moving into the area. We also found a couple more Haddock and some Whiting there. We have some spots open on trips coming up this week so give us a call at the office and get on while the weather is nice! Mon Dec 10 - Block Island Cod & SeaBass
Capt Steven Jr reports that with less then favorable conditions we managed to put a
day together. We had to work for them, but we had a pick of Haddock and a
load of big Scup and big Cunners with only a couple Seabass coming up.
High hook had 6 haddock for the day.
