Capt Dave reports tough day of fishing on the Viking Fivestar.  There was a slow pick all day of both cod and ling.  The largest fish of the day weighed around 17lbs and high hook caught six fish.

Sat Jan 21 - Block Island and Outer Banks Cod

Capt Dave reports a very slow pick on the Fivestar today.  We stuck it out and picked all day long, high hook had eight fish.  The pool winner today was Yiu Gui Zhu of Albany, NY with a 9.7lb cod.

Fri Jan 20-Block Island & Outer Bank Cod Charter

Capt Dave reports good fishing in the morning where every pass produced fish. After that it was a tough grind. We had mostly keepers with some throw backs. We also had about 1 dozen ling. There is spot left on Sunday's trip.

Mon Jan 16 - Block Island and Outer Banks Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports a great day of cod fishing today with a good group of guys put together with captain Jeff of the Voyager! Things started off slow early in the day but by mid morning we found a nice pile of fish to work on. We had lock and load fishing for a little over an hour that filled the boxes up quick with quality cod. The rest of the day we picked a couple more here and there. By the end of the day we had over 100 nice cod fish for the guys to take home!

Sun Jan 15 - Block Island and Outer Banks Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports a tough grind on the cod grounds. We covered a lot of spots for a couple fish here and there. We never got a steady bite going, but we did find a little pick at he end of the day in overtime. High hook had 6 keepers.

Sat Jan 14 - Block Island and Outer Banks Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports we had a good day on the cod grounds today! Things started off really slow in the dark but after the sun came up we got a good pick going until mid morning before it got real picky again. By the end of the day everyone had at least 5 cod a man along with 8-12 ling each, sending everyone home with a nice pile of fillets! We are sailing every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday on open boat trips so give the office a call to get on a trip.

Mon Jan 9 - Block Island and Outer Banks Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports another tough grind on the cod for the Brooklyn boys. The morning was quiet before we found a few fish to work on. By the end of the day everyone had a little pile of fish to go home with but still slower then we have been seeing.

Sat Jan 7 - Block Island and Outer Banks Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports a much slower day then what we have been seeing lately. We had a pick early on in the day and then things got quiet as the weather got worse. We still managed a handful of fish out of it for the day. High hook had 6 fish most other guys had 2-3.

Mon Jan 2 - Block Island and Outer Banks Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports we didn’t start off the new year will the slammer fishing we had before Christmas, but we still put a good trip together by the end of the day. We had good action early in the morning and after 9 am we only found a few more cod here and there for the rest of the day. Everyone went home with a good pile of fish! The high hook guys had 7-10 fish and everyone else had 3-6 keepers. We’re hoping it was just the easterly wind that made things a little slower but only time will tell. “You got to be there all of the time to catch them some of the time”! And we plan on sailing everyday the weather allows us so we will be adding on a trip where we can. Keep checking the website or give the office a call to get in on a trip!!!
