Sat Dec 9 - Block Island Cod & Sea Bass

Capt Steven Jr reports a steady pick all day of Sea Bass and Porgies with a couple of Cod in the mix. On the last drop of the day we had a good shot of keeper Cod to wrap up the day!! Everyone had their limit of Sea Bass and a couple Cod to go home with. High hook guys had 6 Cod and everyone else had 1-5 Cod each! Between our catch and my old man on the Viking Star, we both had a good sign of Cod showing up and we can’t wait to get back out after this weather!! Sorry for the lack of pictures we had a crappy ride home in the NE wind and sleet everyone wanted to stay in the warm cabin.

Mon Nov 13 - Rusty Belly Charter

Capt Steven Jr reports slammer Blackfishing this morning and a great afternoon with quality Sea Bass! We started off Blackfishing and had our limit in an hour and fifteen minutes of fishing! From there we shot offshore and put together a nice load of big Seabass and a couple Cod. Overall a great day of fishing and the guys went home loaded up with fish.

Sun Nov 12 - Rusty Belly

Capt Steven Jr reports what a difference a day makes!!! Full limit in an hour and fifteen minutes of fishing!!!

Sat Nov 11 - Rusty Belly

Capt Steven Jr reports a tough morning black of fishing with too nice of a day. There was no wind and no tide. We were fighting to stay on the piece and keep the anchor ropes tight. We hopped around all morning and had a few quality fish each drop but couldn't get the numbers. We had better results fishing the afternoon around Block for S    eabass and cod. We were able to put together a good catch to send everyone home with pile of fillets. For a slower then average day we still put a good day together!

Sat Nov 4 Rusty Belly Blackfish

Rusty Belly Blackfish
We had lock and load fishing on our first black fish trip of the year! It was up and down fishing and everyone had their limit or were one shy with in an hour of fishing. So we left them biting on the first drop and made another quick drop for togs where we grabbed a few nicer fish to round out the limit. From there we shot back towards block and finished up the day grabbing a load of Sea bass and a couple cod. Seabassing was a little slower then it has been but a few guys had their limit and everyone else was not far from their limit. By the end of the day everyone went home with a nice pile of fillets!
We only have a couple open boat trips with availability between now and Thanksgiving!! Give us a call and get on while you can. We will be sailing everyday well into December whenever the weather allows.

Capt Steven Sr reports that we picked away at Tile, Pollack and Hake under rough conditions. Everyone worked at it and we put a nice catch together. In addition we also had 1 Wreckfish , 5 Yellowfin, Mahi-Mahi and a John Dory. We lost a  large swordfish close to the boat after one hour of fighting it and we saw a really large sword close to the boat. The captain and crew want to thank Renee for her enthusiastic effort on her first offshore fishing trip!

Thur July 28 - Coxes Cod

Capt Steven Jr. reports a decent day today on the cod grounds, but not the action that we have been seeing on past trips. Things started off slow with the cod but we found a steady pick to work on later in the day. From beginning to end we had a bunch of ling coming up everywhere. We also grabbed a nice bluefin around 100lbs on a cod rig. By the end everyone went home with a nice pile of cod and a load of ling.
