2014 Viking FiveStar Offshore Schedule!

Our 2014 Offshore Schedule is up and we are ready to make your reservations! Just click on the "Calendar/ Upcoming Trips" tab on the right side of the homepage and scroll down to see the full list of Offshore Trips and the trip descriptions.

In order to make a reservation, you must call the Viking Fleet office at 631-668-5700. We are open everyday from 8AM until 5PM.

In order to make a reservation, we require a 50% deposit or full payment with a credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

Saturday Feb 8 Cod Charter

We had another great day of cod fishing today on the Fivestar. We started off with a good bite of quality cod coming up from dark threw dawn. By mid morning things slowed down and the rest of the day we picked a few keeper and a few shorts everywhere we tried but never got the afternoon bite like we did yesterday. By the end of the day everyone had a nice pile of cod filets to take home. High hook was 13 keeper cod and the pool fish was just shy of the 20 lb mark. We are keeping an eye on the weather for Wednesday and may sneak in an open boat trip on the Fivestar. The starship will remain sailing daily. Keep an eye on our website for all scheduling updates and reports.

Block Island Cod   (Starting Jan 17th)
Sailing: Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Depart: 3AM
Return: 3PM
Fare: $240 per person
Fare includes all rods, reels, tackle, bait, hot breakfast and lunch with all soft drinks, coffee and tea. 

Interested in taking the boat for the day with your friends?
We also have plenty of open dates available for private charters for the Block Island Cod. We can hold 12 passengers maximum if you are interested in doing a 12 hour day. The price is $2,500 and includes everything listed above.

Rusty Belly for Blackfish and Sea Bass

We returned late yesterday from a PHENOMENAL rusty belly trip! We started of black fishing on a couple wrecks which produced only a couple fish but they were all quality sized fish, the biggest being 11.5 lbs. our third drop started as a pick they turned into an all out bail job! Also had a bunch of quality fish with a few over 8 lbs popping up. After everyone loaded up with togs we headed offshore and had another EXCELLENT sea bass bite. Lots of double headers all around and all large to XL sized. We did see a couple cod come up on each drop but the sea bass dint leave you any time to leave a clam on the bottom. Also had a mess of ling and a few scup mixed in. In the end everyone went home arm weary and loaded up with the falls finest bottom fish.
