Sat Oct 20 - Schedule Update

With our Tuna season behind us we hauled out for Coast Guard inspection and a quick clean up. We are ready for our fall Block Island Cod and Seabass trips! Trips will start sailing this Monday (Sold Out!) and we have added Tuesday 10/23 and Thursday 10/25 to the schedule this week! Looks like we are going to have a nice break in the weather and we are looking forward to getting our fall season started! Capt Steven Jr reports that on our first trip to Block Island we had a limit of big Black Sea Bass, loads of jumbo Scup, and a nice shot of quality Cod. Block Island bottom fishing is alive! We have plenty of trips coming up for the fall on both the Fivestar and the Viking Star.

Returned today from another good trip with Bob and Capt Shaun! Got a load of fish for the guys and called it a trip a little early!

Fri Aug 3 to Mon Aug 6 - 3 Day TNT

Capt Steven Jr reports that our first offshore trip of the year was a slammer! As far as the bottom fishing goes we had our boat limit of quality Golden Tile up to 44 lbs along with a good shot of Pollock, Hake and a couple of Grey Tiles and Barrel Fish. Tuna fishing we tallied up 17 Yellow Fin and a nice Big Eye at 130lbs. We had fish both on the troll and some fish on the chunk at night which was nice to see. Things are shaping up offshore and if everything holds together it looks like we should be in for a good season of tuna fishing! We have limited space on open trips and charter dates between now and October, but give us a call at the office and see where you can get on!

Fri Jan 26 - Block Island Winter Cod

Capt Steven Jr reports that we got out with the crew from the James Joseph and we managed to put a good catch together with the given conditions. It was nothing like we have been seeing the last couple days, but it was good enough to send everyone home with a nice bag of fillets. We had a good shot of fish early in the day but after that drop the bite just died. We hopped around and made a few more drops but never found anything to work on. There are fish around unfortunately they were just being picky today.
