Epic Tuna Trip!

This past week was a busy one for the FiveStar with some excellent tuna fishing! We did two commercial trips with just the three crew members on board, and between both trips, the crew totaled an impressive 41 big eyes! They also had a nice mess of yellow fin and albacore. Most of the yellow fin were smaller and many of them were released.

The third trip this week was a charter with a great group of guys from the city. The day started off with tons of action on the albacore. In the first three hours of fishing, we had 14 fish in the boat! From there on in, the weather didn't shape up and fishing slowed a bit. Half way through the day, the charter had plenty of fish and decided to call it a trip early with the rough weather.

In other news, this upcoming weekend we have another 2 Day Inshore Special that departs on Friday Aug 8th at 1am and returns on Saturday Aug 8th at 6pm. We are looking for a few more people to make this trip a go.
