Fri July 31 - 1/2 Day Charter PM

Capt Derek reports an excellent afternoon of bottom fishing. We started off Porgy fishing which was phenomenal. We caught enough in 20 minutes so we moved onto the SeaBass. We took a little ride to deeper water on the south side and we weren’t disappointed. We had to pick through smaller SeaBass to find keepers, but it was nonstop action and we ended up with almost the boat limit. All in all, it was a very good afternoon.

Fri July 31 - 1/2 Day Charter AM

Capt Derek reports that the morning was slower than it has been, but still had good action. We started off by the lighthouse and had some nice Porgies.We took a bit of a ride in search of  some SeaBass and managed a nice handful. Overall we ended up with a nice pile of big Porgies and some SeaBass.

Thurs July 30 - 1/2 Day Charter PM

Capt Derek reports that bottom fishing continues to be excellent with plenty of large scup and decent seabass mixed in. We went and tried some Striped Bass fishing for a little which wasn’t too hot, so we continued bottom fishing. The group ended the day with a nice big pile of Porgies and some decent SeaBass mixed in.

Mon July 27 - 1/2 Day Charter AM

Capt Derek reports excellent fishing on the Viking Fivestar this morning. We started out Porgy fishing which was lights out. We caught our limit of scup in just a few hours, so we spent the rest of the trip trying to get a couple of SeaBass. Seabassing was a little picky, but we managed a few. Overall a great trip with more then enough nice size Porgies.

Mon July 20 to Thurs July 23 - 3 Day Captain's Choice

Capt Steven Jr reports another epic offshore trip on the Viking Fivestar!! Our 3 day trip was drastically shortened, we only needed 12 hours of fishing to fill the boat up with 14 Big Eyes and 32 Yellow Fin!!! An absolutely epic trip for a great group of guys. Thurs July 16 to Sun July 19 - 3 Day TNT

The Tuna bite is on!!!!
Capt Steven Jr reports a slammer TNT trip with 20 nice Yellows, 12 Albacore, 6 quality Big Eyes, and a good shot of Tiles, some big Barrel fish and a mix of some other bottom dwellers. We also got a nice 150lb Sword at night. The Yellow Fin were 50-70lbs and the Big Eyes weighed in at 245, 225, 195, 180, and 2 were around 130 lbs. The biggest Tile was 25 lbs and a few Barrel fish weighed in at 25 lbs as well. Over all a great trip with everyone going home with a load of fish.
Looks like we are in for another great year of Tuna fishing!! We have a 48hr Tuna trip going out Friday and we have openings!!!! Get in on the hot bite while you can. We have very limited space on open boats trip thru September!!! This weekends trip departs Friday at 3pm and returns Sunday at 3pm. Wed July 15- 1/2 Day Private Charter

Capt Derek reports excellent fishing today on the Viking Fivestar. We had plenty of large Porgies and jumbo Seabass. We tried some Fluking but it was slow, so we returned to Seabass and Porgy fishing. We ended the day with just shy our limit of Seabass for 12 guys and nearly the limit of nice sized Porgies.

Thurs July 2 to Sun July 5 - 3 Day TNT

Capt Steven Jr reports that our first trip off to the deep was a productive one with the bottom fish, but slow on the Tuna fishing. Both days of bottom fishing we had steady action with Tiles, Pollock, Hake, Barrelfish, Cusk and a fewBlue Line Tile. We spent both mornings and one evening on the troll and were only able to turn up 3 Yellows and a couple Marlin bites. At the end of the trip everyone went home with a nice load of deep water fillets and some Tuna. We are looking forward to get back out there at the end of next week. We hope the warm water keeps pushing closer and the Tuna fishing picks up.
