Capt Steven Jr
reports that we ended up putting a good catch of SeaBass together for
the day. We had less than favorable conditions with an easterly wind,
but we managed to stay clear of the dogs all day. It was quiet as far as
the Cod and Blackfish bite goes. Only seeing a couple of each. The
biggest SeaBass weighed in at 4.6 lbs.

Sat Oct 26 - Block Island Cod & SeaBass
Capt
Steven Jr reports a good day after a picky start. We had to move around
quite a bit to avoid the dogfish, but at the end of the day we found a
nice pile of SeaBass to work on. All but a couple of guys had their
limit and a pile of Scup. Only a couple of Cod came up for the day.
Hopefully this next blow will help move the dogs out so we can get to
the deeper areas.
Fri Oct 25 - SeaBass/Blackfish Charter
Capt Steven Jr reports a great charter on the Viking Starship. We had a
group of local guys out for the day and we ended up with a nice pile of
Blackfish and a nice load of SeaBass. Blackfishing was very good for
the first hour, but as the tide changed things slowed down. From there
we went Seabassing and picked away at mixed size fish. We ended the day
picking up a few more Togs.

Sun Oct 20 - Block Island Cod & Sea Bass
Captain Derek reports better conditions today on the Viking Fivestar. The dogfish left us alone and the fishing was great. Plenty of Jumbo Knothead Sea Bass to be had for all with the largest in the 5 pound plus range. Scup for some and a Bluefish surprise that didn't manage to bite off the line. We managed a handful of keeper Cod with just as many shorts which tells us the Cod are coming in and we can expect a good season. Everyone on board ended up with their Sea Bass limit and some beautiful big fish.

Sun Sept 29 to Mon Sept 30 - 36 Hour Tuna Charter
Capt Steven Jr reports another great trip offshore with 19 Yellowfin, 1
Albicore and a few Mahi caught. We started off on the troll and had a
few smaller Tuna and one around 60 lbs. The night chunk bite started off
slow but by 2am we started a pick that turned into a non stop bite
until we pulled the anchor to go home. We had a couple smaller Yellows,
but most were 60-80 lbs which sent the guys home with a pile of meat.
Fishing is still really good if you can get a group of guys together for
a charter now is the time! We have open dates for charters in October
so give us a call for all trip info and bookings! (631)668-5700
