Tue July 30 - Wed July 31 - 2 Day Block Island Layover

Capt Steven Jr reports that we started off Cod fishing on day one and picked a few fish everywhere we went. No big numbers of fish on any drop, but we ended up with a couple of dozen keepers up to 15 lbs. From there we ended the day by Block Island and had some excellent SeaBass fishing, with a few guys grabbing their limit of Jumbos and a pile of Jumbo Porgies. Day two we had a great morning bite with big Striped Bass up to 48.8 lbs. From there we grabbed our second days limit of SeaBass and some big Porgies, then we went Fluking closer to home to end the trip. Fluking was slow with not even a lot of shorts. Overall a good trip that sent everyone home with a nice pile of fillets.

Sat July 27 - Inshore Charters

Capt Steven Jr reports phenomenal fishing on this mornings charter. We loaded the coolers up with Jumbo Porgies and had a nice shot of SeaBass at the end of the trip. The Porgies are getting bigger everyday! There were also some Fluke mixed in.

Update: The Viking Fivestar has been fishing inshore with 1/2 day charters all week. The fishing has been great. There was a Shark Charter on Friday that released a nice, but not keeper size Mako. The crew will be heading out Tuesday on the popular Inshore Block Island Layover trip, then will be leaving on Fri Aug 2 for a 3 day Tuna and Tile trip. The boat is booked solid for August offshore fishing, but it is available Aug 1, 6, 26, 30 for inshore trips. Give us a call in the office to book. 631-668-5700.

Fri July 19 to Sun July 21 - 48 Hour Tuna Trip

Capt Steven Jr reports another great trip offshore this weekend. We had steady action on the Yellow Fin all day, never going more then 45 minutes with out getting fish on. We ended up with our boat limit of 30 yellows from 35-75lbs and released over a dozen other fish and found a stud Big Eye that weighed in at 241lbs!!

Fri July 12 to Mon July 15 - 3 Day TNT

Capt Steven Jr reports an excellent trip off to the deep this weekend. We had 21 Yellow Fin up to 96lbs, a nice shot of Golden Tiles to 25lbs, a load of Blue Line Tiles to 14lbs, around 15 Barrel fish up to 20lbs and released a Blue fin that was around the 400-500lb mark. We also released a bunch of smaller yellows and had a nice White Marlin. We covered about 50 miles of the bank and had a Yellow Fin everywhere we went. Things are shaping up to be a good year offshore!

Fri July 5 -Sun July 7 - Nantucket Fluke Charter

Capt Steven Jr reports another great trip on the Nantucket Fluke grounds over the weekend! We had some tough drifting conditions at times that made us work for them, but we still ended up with a swinging load of huge Fluke. Again most fish were between 4-6lbs with a bunch of 8-9 lb fish and the biggest weighing in at 13.6lbs!!! Overall a great trip with a great group that went home with totes of fillets!
